Black and White Swan Easter Eggs | Easter DIY & Printable | DESIGN IS YAY!

I’m not a big fan of easter egg painting, even when I was a little girl. But as you know, I love craft & DIYs using paper. So as long as all I have to do is cutting and pasting, I’m up for it! These black and white Swan easter eggs are fun & easy to do for both adults and children (with adult supervision). Plus they make cool & elegant decoration all year long!

Materials: Materials: Black & White Swan Easter Eggs template (Free Download HERE), Adobe Reader (Free Download), Colour printer, A4 paper stock around 100-180 gsm, black and white acrylic paints, eggs (if your egg is already white, white paint is not needed), paint brush, egg stand to dry your eggs on, scissors, glue or double sided tape

  1. Download Black & White Swan Easter Eggs template HERE, and open using Adobe Reader
  2. Print on A4 light to mid weight paper stock (around 100-180 gsm) using your colour printer. Set your printer to best photo or best quality for better results
  3. Paint one egg white (if it isn’t white already) and another one black using acrylic paint. You can use other type of paints, but I have only experimented with acrylic
  4. Place them on egg stand/case while waiting for them to dry
  5. They might need double paint coating
  6. Cut out the swan templates on the dotted lines, but becareful not to cut off the little flaps at the bottom of the swans’ necks. The two swan heads should also be attached
  7. Fold the swan in the middle of the two heads, and stick the two sides of the swan heads using glue or double sided tape
  8. Fold out the two little flaps at the bottom of their necks
  9. With the egg in horizontal position, stick the wings on both sides of the egg. Having the bottom sides of the wings low will help the swan eggs to stand properly
  10. Adhere both inner sides of the little flaps and stick the swan’s heads onto the egg
  11. Repeat the steps with the black egg and swan template
