Even though I like chocolate, but I’ve always prefer savoury & sweet snacks, rather than just sweet. If you know someone who’s not a big fan of chocolate, this printable and “recipe” that I’m about to show you is going to be more favourable for their palette.
To those of you who live in Asia, Pocky is no stranger to us. I grew up eating Pocky and/or snacks that resembles Pocky. I love nibbling through sweet and crunchy chocolate-coated biscuit stick and finally bite into the savoury bit at the end. In Australia, you can find Pocky in your local Asian grocery shops. Other than the Strawberry-flavoured Pocky shown below, you can also find Pocky in other yummy flavours such as green tea, almond crunch and cookies and cream.
For this printable, I am using the savoury bits of Pocky and dipped them into Pink Candy Melts (I use Wilton brand) to resemble a match head. Line them on baking paper until the candy melt have set.
You will also need matchboxes (discard the cover & matchsticks), downloaded template of the Perfect Match Printable Matchbox, x-acto knife and some adhesive.
You may also use other type of thin and long biscuits. I chose Pocky because they are easy to get and I love eating them.
After you’re done assembling the printable matchbox covers, discard matches from the actual matchbox, and line the box with rectangular baking paper for hygiene purposes. Fill them with your Pocky matchsticks and slide the box into the printable covers.
Now you have the sweetest little gift for your Valentines!
