I am back!
Finally after one month hiatus, this blog is up and running again (do you notice the new design?). According to Google Analytics, there is nothing you guys love more than printable. So I’d like to start 2014 with a new freebie!
On the 31st of January this year, we are celebrating Chinese New Year. In our culture, we have to give red packets (also known as hong baos) to young & single boys and girls. I feel the need to say “YOUNG” because it’s kind of weird if I have to give my 30-year-old single friends red packets :P
However, since Valentine’s day is also around the corner, I’d like to make this printable useful for both occasions. I feel like the theme shabby chic is a good fit. After all, I have done the “red and bold” packets last year.
Even though Hong Baos are supposed to mean Red Packets, but with all the cute and colourful envelopes out there, they don’t have to be red anymore. However, dark colours such as black or navy blue will be frowned upon, because in Chinese culture they are symbol of bad luck. 2014 is year of the horse, and it is supposed to be a great year for those who were born in the year of tiger (and horse, of course)… such as me! That is why I am embracing this year with open arms. I know this might sound baloney, but I actually still believe in these stuff. After all, there’s nothing bad in putting a little positive spin into our life.
